A boy gets mistaken for his twin sister
Finally, the two teenagers having come to the conclusion that they both had had enough of the beach, changed back into their clothes and hopped onto the bus which carried them back to Lexy's home where Aunt Faith was waiting to greet Brook with a hug.

"Oh Brook I am sorry love. If I had known how long I was going to be away I would never have left you."

"That's alright Aunty." Brook mumbled through the right embrace of his Aunts arms.

"Now I know from Lexy's mum what fun you girls have been getting up to and how kind Lexy has been by lending you all those clothes, that skirt you're wearing is very cute by the way, and I'm sure that you would like to spend some more time together.
But it's nearly four o'clock and our play begins at half past five, so we need an early evening meal and then you need to go and get ready. "

"Get ready, get ready for what Aunt Faith?"

"Oh don't tell me you've forgotten Brook." Chided Aunt Faith gently. "Don't you remember when you first arrived you told me you wanted to see a show at the theatre with me? Well it's tonight. Now you say goodbye to Lexy you can tell her that you will see her tomorrow, then come inside I'll have some food prepared for us before we change."

Brook hugged Lexy goodbye, patted Maggie and waved goodbye to Lexy's mum before turning back to once again hug Lexy. Blushing slightly, Brook turned round to head back to Aunt Faith's home with his skirt swishing against his legs with every step.

As he entered he found his Aunt abuzz with movement. "Ah there you are Brook darling, your sandwiches are on the table there's no need to worry about me because I've eaten. Now I'm going to have a brisk shower before I get ready once you've finished eating I suggest you do the same. I'll have your outfit lain out for you in your bed so there's no need to worry."
As Aunt Faith went upstairs, Brook privately thought that if his Aunt Faith thought there was nothing to worry about regarding his outfit then there was something to worry about. In the kitchen was a plate of about half a dozen triangle sandwiches, which Brook hurriedly scoffed down before making his way to the recently vacated shower.

Five minutes later, his Aunt's door knockinging reminded him that they were in a tight deadline so he wrapped the towel around his chest and headed towards his room in only mild anticipation of what his Aunt had lain out for him. After all he had gone out in public in a denim skirt and in a one piece swimming costume, whatever was waiting for him he was sure he could handle it.

Inhaling slowly to calm any remaining jitters, Brook entered his room and after closing his door turned to face the collection. On the bed lain out was a navy blue pleated dress and a pair of black tights, next to which where a pair of black flats. What startled Brook most however was the matching pair set of lingerie.

With a sigh and a brief glance at the door, Brook dropped the towel and with two fingers gingerly picked up the panties.
Shaking his head at his current predicament Brook stepped into the panties grateful that at the very least there were no frills or any other sort of design Brook drew them up his hairless legs.
After checking that there was no bulge at the front, Brook was startled to discover that the back end of the panties were padded with a sponge like material that drew his eye to his round behind.
Shaking his head to banished any unwanted thoughts Brook turned to the tights and after a few attempts brought them up over his hips.

Now for the part he was most dreading, rolling back his shoulders in preparation Brook reached for the bra. Silently thanking his twin sister Charlie for that extremely awkward dinner where did not stop talking about bras, Brook connected the clips together before bringing the bra around his chest and sliding his arms through the straps.

Hearing a sharp tap at his door, Brook quickly slipped on the dress and the flats and went out to meet his Aunt, who after taking a brief look of appreciation and muttered something along the lines of how good Brook could look when the effort was made, steered him towards the car and set off for the theatre.

Before they got out of the car, Aunt Faith said "hold still for a minute sweetheart" and leaning forward extended the end of a gentle berry gloss and expertly glided it over Brook's lips.

Brook hesitated. How did things get this far. He couldn't look like anything other than a girl, if anyone happened to call him out it would to laugh it off. But that wasn't the point, this wasn't him.
Lipstick and a dress. It wasn't him. It couldn't be.
But he couldn't spend the entire evening in the car, his Aunt wouldn't stand for it for or thing. Anyway hadn't he enjoyed the time he had spent with Lexy. He could manage this. At least until he left for home.

The show was a local singer who, to Brooks surprise, turned out to be quite the performer. During the interval Aunt Faith bought them both an ice cream each. During the evening Brook became steadily less and less subconscious of his appearance. They drove home chatting to each other about the performance and the rest of the evening passed with a bit more conversation and some card games that Aunt Faith taught Brook.

The next morning, Brook was woken up bright and early by his Aunt Faith who had come in and opened side the curtains to let in the bright sunshine.

"Gha, what are you doing?" Brook rubbed the sleep dust out from his eyes. "It's too early to get up. Let me sleep. Just five more minutes that's all."

"Nonsense my pet, it's a perfect time to get up and besides you have someone waiting for you downstairs."

" What? Who? " Groaned Brook groggily.

"Your new friend from next door. Lexy. Oh come on Brook, get out of bed and get dressed. Shake a leg, Lexy came round after her morning run and wanted to know if you were out of bed yet."

"Why didn't you tell her that I was asleep?"

" well are you? "

"Not any more. No."

"Well there you have it Brook? Now I expect you dressed and downstairs in ten minutes."

"Ugh... Fine then, tell I'll be down in ten minutes." Brook grumbled.

With a sharp turn in her heel, Aunt Faith strode out of the room and headed downstairs.

After Aunt Faith left, Brook dressed himself in the last of the clean clothes that he had brought with him and giving his hair a quick brush out of his face headed downstairs to where Lexy was waiting to see him.

"Good morning." Yawned Brook as he came down the stairs.

"Brook! Your Great-Aunt didn't just wake you up, did she?" Exclaimed Lexy as chipper as ever.

Brook through silently to himself how anybody could be that full of energy at that time of the morning.

"Um, sort of." Brook shrugged his shoulders. "So have you got any plans today?" He asked in a weak attempt to divert the conversation.

"Well that's what I came round to ask you actually? Do you have anything planned for today?"

"Well no, not really no."

"Great then. Shall we go out somewhere then?"

" Well, erm I need to have to have breakfast first. "

"Yes, alright you go and have your breakfast and I'll and lay out some nice clothes for when you get out of your pyjamas."

"No, no there's no need. You see I'm already. And she's gone upstairs. Marvellous"
Brook pointlessly flustered as he gathered his breakfast together and sat at the kitchen table. As he placed his empty bowl in the dish washer, Lexy came into the kitchen with a satisfied from on her face.

"It is on your bed waiting for you Brook. I'll wait for you down here.

To Brook's surprise he did not feel like a guilty man walking towards his executioner, but as instead he felt that new door has opened one he had not noticed before. Setting foot inside his bedroom, he found on the bed a horizontally striped romper to which lay underwear not dissimilar to what he had worn the night before albeit significantly more casual. On the dressing table sat a beaded necklace which Brook put on over his head.

As he pulled the romper over his bra straps and tied the neck strap behind him. Brook felt an unusual sort of comfort, the sort of comfort that he felt whilst in his t-shirt and shorts.

As Brook came coyly down the stairs, Lexy gave him a little round of applause.

"See I knew you would look so good in that romper and that necklace I saw just pulls the whole outfit together, don't you agree? You can wear it tomorrow when we go out together."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh I forgot to ask you, my mum told me to ask whether or not you and your Aunt Faith would like to go out to a restaurant tomorrow. Sort of like a goodbye meal of you like, since I know from your Aunt that tomorrow is your last day before you go back home."

"Well I suppose it would be a nice way to say goodbye, but I think that Aunt Faith had something else planned instead. "

At that moment Aunt Faith passed by carry a load of washing. "What did I just overhear Levy? Some sort of farewell party was it?"

" No, nothing that big, just dinner at a restaurant that's all. " Answered Lexy.

"Ah well, we would love to, I'll sort the details out with your mum after I've sorted out all this washing. It really is amazing how much washing there is when there's an additional person in the house. Never you two mind. Go and have a nice day. "

One hour later Lexy and Brook found themselves strolling down a busy highstreet, Lexy trying her best to drag Brook into every clothes store and into every shop that she could see and Brook doing to his very best to distract her so that he wouldn't end up being dragged into any shop, where he instinctively knew Lexy would keep them in for hours. Eventually Lexy stopped at a quaint building tucked away inbetween two large supermarkets and looking at Brook with her puppy-like eyes she began pulling him inside.

Inside the perfumed air grabbed Brook's attention. It was the first thing he noticed about the store. The second thing that he took in as he gazed around was that it was full of dresses.
Now after a week of being gradually familiarised to wearing what Brook has once upon a time called 'girly' and 'unmanly, Brook now saw as being for anyone and he even found wearing skirts and bras and the romper he was currently wearing as comfortable, but these were dressed. And not just any sort of dresses. No. These dresses on offer were the sort of dress that was to be worn to a fancy party, or a prom or to a fancy dinner.

Brook felt his gut feel heavy and his knees nearly buckled beneath but somehow he stood firm.

"Lexy." He hissed "Why are we here? Let's go!

"Oh Brook, I know your not a fan of wearing dresses but I won two token at my school's summer fair, each one gets you a free dress. And besides we need to get dresses for the restaurant tomorrow anyway."

"What! No, no no no, I think I'll just wear my normal clothes."

"You can't wear a t-shirt and shorts in a restaurant. Especially for our last day together."

Brook felt trapped, backed into a corner with nowhere to go. Seeing the sadness in his friend's face he succumbed.

"Allright, I suppose you are right. Besides I don't think my Aunt would've been very pleased and I dread to think what she would have made me wear."
