Winter walks


It gets cold here, this is true;
winter skies are deepest blue.

When the cold is really bitter,
stars come out and sharply glitter.

While furry pets all want to nuzzle,
their humans seek to quaff and guzzle.

Because of this, the evening walk is late,
with humans weaving in unsteady gait.
