Thought I saw you reclining,
at leisure in the clouded night sky,
languid as the light streamed from a window,
your head supported by an arm
bent lazily on the misted couch,
the stars above peering at your faultless frame.
Did the curtains stir in the chilly breeze
that turned the sight to vapour?
Did the sleeping town sigh,
restless in its bed, as the dream dissolved?
I thought I saw you in the sky that night,
but you are long departed.
