Many feet have wandered your shores,
Assured that you ruled the new world,
Sharing the tales of Pilgrims’ lores;
Standards and new flags unfurled.
Another condo and city sprouts,
Chichester, Worcester, and Boston,
Hancock, along well marked routes.
Unspoiled air and bright sun
Sandy beaches and waters clean
Easily dreamed in a busy state,
These are not to be seen.
The crowds do not abate.
Surely Massachusetts has more,
Seen from my boarded up door.
