Ideas for a book I want to write, just random thoughts and research info. |
1 Peter 3:15 (KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: I seek answers for the reason I have hope within me. My hope for this book is to answer the command of 1 Peter 3:15, and to help others be able to give answers too. I hope it will help others understand the need for Salvation, and that some may enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:17-19 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Evangelism and apologetics ----------------------------------- Thoughts on what to write : Why do I believe in Jesus?/why do I have hope? What do I hope for? How do I explain my hope to others? How do I hang onto my hope? What are common questions and arguments against my faith? How do I answer them? How can this book help a new Christian pursue their life in Christ? How is one saved? How does one develop a relationship with Christ? How does one lead others to Christ? 1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. ---------------------------------------- Romans 8:24 “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?” Answers to difficult questions when witnessing to others. --------------------------------------------- https://bible.org/seriespage/lesson-8-witnessing-answering-questions-and-objecti... https://home.snu.edu/~hculbert/starters.htm https://www.gotquestions.org/effective-witness.html https://www.evangelismcoach.org/44-conversation-questions/ https://christiananswers.net/evangelism/responses/home.html https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/two-things-you-need-to-know-to-reach-... https://www.rhema.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1021:how-to-w... https://www.crossway.org/articles/17-questions-about-salvation/ https://www.goodsoil.com/blog/how-to-witness-to-a-dying-unbeliever/ https://www.gotquestions.org/questions_salvation.html https://www.gotquestions.org/witnessing-Catholics.html https://www.gotquestions.org/witnessing-Jehovahs-Witnesses.html https://www.gotquestions.org/questions_Christian.html https://ministrytodaymag.com/outreach/evangelism/22976-6-key-questions-non-belie... https://www.wikihow.com/Witness https://www.cru.org/us/en/train-and-grow/10-basic-steps/7-the-christian-and-witn... https://www.josh.org/best-questions-meaningful-spiritual-conversations/ ----------------------------------------------- I could possibly write a series of books if this gets to be too much for one. The idea for My Hope Within is to explain the reason for my hope in God. It is to lead others to Christ and answer some of the difficult questions people ask about Christianity. It is about giving answers to arguments or myths. I could do another book called Growing in Grace about how to mature as a Christian and grow your relationship with God. There could be a third book called Sharing Faith written about how to witness and share your faith with others. I need to figure out how to outline it and put it all together. The idea is there, but the information feels all jumbled up right now. Once I finish gathering some more information, I should create an outline to plan what I want to include in the book. Then I need to start writing a rough draft. I want this to be a chapter book. I may include quotes, poems, and reflection questions somewhere in each chapter. I want to get my readers to think and reflect. I want them to understand my hope so they can have my hope too. I want this book to be used by God to draw others to himself and possibly help other Christians know how to answer the reason they have hope within too. Once the draft is written, I can ask for reviews and opinions on what I have written so far and can make necessary corrections until I have written the final draft. The ultimate goal would be to see my book(s) published. Another idea is to write a book of daily devotions. How does soul witnessing compare to network marketing? |
