It emphasizes the need to stay vigilant and 'wet' in our quest to becoming like Jesus. |
The story of a young man who came back and saw that most of the clothes which he dried the previous day had fallen off from the iron pole they were initially. It was only the clothes that were still wet and damp and the heavy or weighty ones that remained on the pole. He noticed some set of clothes on where his clothes had fallen from that was not even on the pole as at the time he dried his. Then it came almost immediately. The clothes represent and symbolize you; Placed on a pole for all to see and not kept inside the bucket which can cause you to emit smells after some time. After the purification and washing, you became light placed on a hill that all may see. You are full, vibrant, zealous, holy, disciplined, determined, desperate to know, and WET. At this stage, you remain on the hill, you remain on the pole, you maintain and increase holistically, you remain at the helm of affairs, you remain at the top. However, the big question now is when the scorching sun of trails and boisterous storm of tribulations come will you remain wet? When the wind from the mouth of the enemy masquerading as an angel of light approaches you in its full force, will you remain wet? At the thin line where you are to choose between life and death will you remain wet? This is where the difference comes. You are to remain wet, vibrant determined, and holy even amidst the afflictions and trials around you because they refine you. (Isaiah 48:10). Vigilance and soberness by always being in your whole armor (Ephesians 6:13-18) keeps you in tune and alert to the wiles of the enemy. It helps you to sustain your wetness and remain on the pole; shining as light. There was another set of clothes that was weighty because of the material with which they were made. So when the wind came and the sun came they remained firm on the pole. What are you made up of? Your makeup goes a long way to sustain or remove you from that pole where you are to shine as light. A sure make-up is the one you are in Jesus. When your making is of Him, come what may you are sure to stand firm, sustain your wetness, and rise again. So it is worth noting that the material with which you are made + wetness = sustained wetness Remember there are a lot of vessels. You can be replaced just as those dry clothes that fell from the pole were replaced by another vessel's own. Do you want your makeup to be that of Jesus'? Do not hesitate to send me an email. Shalom! |
