Celebrating a much loved symbol of Easter.


Joyful promises of life
drip from the branches
in a rain of color;

The kaleidoscope
meshes tradition with birth,
springing life from death,
as the fragile shells
keep the cycle unbroken.

Where I'm from we hang the eggs from tree branches that we put in vases inside. Not sure how common that is elsewhere.
