Poetry Song Contest - Entry Number Three - For February 2021 |
There were some happy wanderers Meandering down the trail, They saw some things you wouldn't see Unless you've walked by their side. They've mustered up a real good plan Before getting in their van. Scooting on up to the mountain Looking for their special friends. Chorus: It's the thrill of a wanderer As they wander through the land; They know not what they're looking for When they're walking out their door. A wonderful discovery Will bring a new reverie Soon it will be a tale of yore Written in the book of lore. Rocks and images are the fads; It's so rad what they have done; Their accomplishments make them feel Good, exactly how it should. Their view of things is mighty clear; It's time for another year For getting their discoveries; It's great for their recovery. Chorus: It's the thrill of the wanderer As they wander through the land; They know not what they're looking for When they're walking out their door. A wonderful discovery Will bring a new reverie; Soon it will be a tale of yore Written in the book of lore. Written by Anna Marie Carlson Sunday, February 28, 2021 |
