Black misery going unnoticed in a White world.
Can YOU Hear Me Crying Now?
My sons are being shot down in the streets like animals.
Can you hear me crying now?
My daughters are carrying your babies.
Can you hear me crying now?
My mother just finished cleaning your kitchen and satisfying your man.
Can you hear me crying now?
My husband has left me and my children because the welfare woman is coming today.
Can you hear me crying now?
I can’t pay my rent, but I worked hard for you all week.
Can you hear me crying now?
My family has been on welfare for five generations.
Can you hear me crying now?
My social security is less than $400 a month and I never missed a day's work.
Can you hear me crying now?
My neighbors daily call me and my children derogatory names.
Can you hear me crying now?
My schools are being shot up by young White boys and my children are dying.
Can you hear me crying now?
My life matter and you say all lives matter, but you treat mine as worthless.
Can you hear me crying now?
My creative genius flows throughout America and I still am not valued.
Can you hear me crying now?
My world is always crumbling or crashing to the ground.
Can you hear me crying now?
My education is on the line; My life is on the line; My world is spinning out of control.
Can you hear me crying now?
Can you hear me crying now?
Can you hear me crying now?
Now, I am dead!
