Chapter one

We jumped off Appa and ran into the courtyard just in time to stop Azulas' coronation. Just second before she was going to be crowned she stood up and walked down the podium and got in a defensive stance to match Zuko. The battle had begun, I couldn't look away their red and blue fire was so mesmerizing. Bursts of red and blue mixing together the building's surrounding the court yard burned in a beautiful orange glow that fed on the building itself, it was as if the flames jumped off one another helping each other to the sky. When it all stopped I came back to reality to hear Zuko teasing Azusa about how she hasn't bent any lightning, then I could feel her cold glare on me. I looked at Zuko and he looked at me, Azusa said one of her sassy remarks but I wasn't paying attention until she started bending lightning, it shot from her fingers directly at me. I couldn't move it felt as if I had been glue to the spot, I looked over to where Zuko was standing but he wasn't there anymore instead he was running towards the lightning, he jumped and intercepted it, but took it straight to the heart. I screamed in terror and went running towards him, right before I got to his side Azula shot lightning at the ground making me run the other way. I ran and hid behind one of the pillars, even though I could hardly see from my continuous crying I was able to hatch a plan. I saw a grate on the other side of the courtyard, I started running towards it but Azula blasted one of her fire balls at me. It skinned my arm and knocked me to the ground I landed right next to Zuko I looked at him and he looked at me then his eyes closed, I was to upset, to angry, I stood up and I did something that was thought to be a myth. I went into the "Benders' State" I started to glow red first was my eyes then my whole body I started blood bending and Azulas body became mine, she no longer had control of her body I commanded it to my will as if it were water. I bent her to her knees and walked over to her, as I knelt down infront of her I could see and feel her fear and it felt good, I used the water in the air the make a water bed and bring zuko over to her. She could see the power and anger in my eyes, I bent zuko up onto the podium and released azula. She quickly got back to her feet and ran off behind me, I was still angry and upset when everyone else got there, when they got in the courtyard I was still in the benders state. Sokka and aang looked shocked as they walked over to me while I was healing zuko, Suki was the only one willing to speak to me. Her voice was shaken and scared, everyone including Toph backed up when I stood up and turned to face them by the time I had stood up I was calm and out of the benders state.
