My definitions list for Manicotti and Murder - just the beginning
I do not feel like I have a huge definitions list, but I usually wind up adding to my list as I go through November. My main setting is an amusement park, so I do think there may be some definitions there.
Midway – I would call that the isle where all of the food and concession stands are. I don’t know if that’s the right term, but that’s what I will call it until I learn better.
Loan Shark – I think Gary is going to be in debt rather deeply to his loan shark/bookie/dealer. I am not sure exactly what the guy will be. He may wind up to be a drug dealer after all. I am just not sure yet.
Hit – a murder of someone for someone else, I guess, is the best way to describe a hit. Gary will get himself into this as a way to pay off his debt, but also as a way to ensure he does not get caught…. He hopes.
I suppose there may also be some restaurant terms I am completely familiar with after spending 30 years in the industry, that would need to be explained – but I can’t think of any of them right now. People know what a fryer is, I think. And a timer. And….. I’m not sure what else would be needed. Now that I think about it, there are likely some terms here that will come up that I will be adding as November rolls along.
