In a remote cave, near his tribe, a man strikes a stone and discovers a flash of light.
In a remote cave, near his tribe, a man strikes a stone and discovers a flash of light. And over the next half-million years, the population grows, observations recorded, and stories of old are retold creatively with distinct similarities. Technology is slowly discovered yet soon begins the race of doubling knowledge and technological advancement. Ancient clues are discovered that lend credibility to the old stories of a time when gods visited from the skies. The stories tell of the devastation wrought by the light of 10,000 suns turning all things to ash and glass. Yet these discoveries are ignored, even ridiculed, to preserve the New stories of who and why we are. Until when long, deep-fueled hatred rooted in variations from the old stories met the fateful moment of advancement, achievement, and opportunity. The skies erupted with the light of 10,000 suns, followed by plumes of dark red smoke and an endless field of ash and green glass. A few survivors, from the most remote places of the World, watch in both horror and wonder. They record these events as best they can, and faithfully retell the stories, with many similarities, as time passes on.
And then one day, in a remote cave near his tribe, a man strikes a stone and discovers a flash of light.
