Just for fun

You know fencing always looked like fun
but when everything is said and done,
you have got me leaking like a sieve--
and I really always kind of planned to live.


So kindly pass the band-aids if you please
before I bleed out here, on my knees,
and I will tell them I did honorably yield
when I sign up to run for track and field.
