Leopard

Running, Stalking, Pouncing, Climbing,
Always watching, always waiting.

Drinking, eating – not the tusk.
running in the dusk.

On a limb, in the grass;
Stalking a giraffe.

Spots an ibex, does not delay,
Pouncing on its prey.

In the dark, in the light;
Climbing up a tree at night.

In the grass, on a hill;
Watching, waiting, for the kill.

In a tree, way up high;
Watching, waiting, in the sky.

From her perch, in a tree;
Watching, waiting, she is free.
