Inspired by two lovers taking a stroll On Boardwalk below the Brooklyn Bridge |
Romance, Beneath The Brooklyn Bridge Marlon Dacosta 02/25/17 A winter's night in February, Felt like a cool night in Spring, Strolled past the Fulton Ferry, Hand in hand we cling. Skyscrapers, bright lights, Across the Manhattan ridge, We walked beneath the heights, Of the Historic Brooklyn Bridge. Walking along the boardwalk, Your warmth caressed my being, Lovers cuddled, others talked, Some with cameras sightseeing. Both sides of the East River, A surreal night of bliss, I embraced you from the shiver, Sealed your lips with a kiss. A heavenly feeling could not deny, The Magic being in your presence, Stars sparkled through your eyes, Intoxicated by your essence. Touch of your hands caressed mine, Electrified within my soul, Your realization to ignore the "signs", Solidified we're lost control. Tugboats pushes barges up and down, Cruise ships sped by Miss Liberty, Cuddled in silence to Nature’s sounds, Our thoughts entwined our affinity. A perfect night, a night of bliss, A lifelong dream came true, Weakened by your every kiss, I surrendered my heart to you. |
