Giving up is easy,
Downfall due to the gravity,
Of the situation, the consequences,
There is always something to blame,
Something that made the difference,
Something that is could never be
Lack of effort or deliberate nonchalance.

Getting back up on your feet?
Well that's a little complicated,
But it's worth the effort
To defy the gravity,
Stand up for what you believe in,
Stay tall, accept your faults,
It won't be followed with sympathy,
With hands reaching out to help you up,
Perhaps even with hurtful criticism.

But when you really make it,
Your high hopes become the real deal,
You get everything you ever wanted,
I cross my heart, it'll all be worth it.
