Filled with renewed confidence,
I plan ahead with determination.
No time to waste on lazy days,
I march toward the finish line.

A new year, a new decade
begins with goals set for life.
Contests to enter, writing to be done,
I am determined to succeed.

Goals and dreams to be chased,
I run full speed ahead for the gain.
Failure is no longer an option,
I refuse to let go of what lies before me.

2019 is past, asleep and gone,
so allow the old to go away.

refusing to live in a past you can’t change.
