On the scariest night of the year,
there are dozens of monsters to fear,
but most frightening of all,
is the one reborn every fall.
On the night of the full Hunter's moon,
when the wind through the oak trees croon,
when the pumpkins are huge and ripe,
and you hear the call of the snipe.
Out of a pumpkin patch he rises,
Looking for human's wearing disguises,
He seeks to consume their brains,
And avenge the Jack o' Lantern's pains.
This is the Great Zombie Pumpkin,
Some call him the Halloween Bumpkin,
Because he's not very bright,
He scares himself on Halloween night.
