On the wave of a summer romance
life demanded that we take a chance
That time when we were so young
A lifetime of songs left to be sung

September found us close together,
abandoned leaves mean changing weather
throwing roses into the rain
never knowing that love may soon bring pain

Justin sings "Can't Stop the Feeling!"
Ordinary places, two hearts reeling

Feet won't stop for average life
Laundromat, car wash, grocery store strife
throwing roses into the rain
never knowing that love may one day bring pain

A dream of you and happy dancing
Me in white, your wife, entrancing
Music whispers its notes into waiting ears
