An Opposing View

An opposing view can be detrimental to someone who has a difference of opinion. In the political sense, in certain areas, if you specify that you're a Democrat, it can be hazardous to your health since big fights have broken out just because you're not a Republican. If you're not a fan of Donald Trump, you're risking losing family relationships or friendships that were important to you. This is very sad; a difference of opinion shouldn't break up a relationship that had been close.

A point of view should be expressed freely without the use of violence. We are all created equal; this means that we can learn from other people how a new approach to things can add or take away from something that had been established for years; this, indeed, could be improved by hearing someone else's point of view. Punishment isn't the answer for being on the opposite end of the spectrum. There are ways that you can discuss things fairly without discrediting the other person. Hear them out. You haven't walked in their shoes, therefore, you shouldn't judge them. You never know, but you could be swayed by bending just a little bit to their side. Compromise is a good thing; no one has to get hurt because your thinking is different from someone else's.
