Illusion Of Confusion

So many continue believing the illusion
So many continue to find things very confusing
Still there are those who continue their musing
Doing so without much of a care
Taking the time needed in order to prepare
Being able to sustain their gaze
For what seems like days
No longer living in the shadows of past mistakes
Doing whatever it takes
So they may reach a heightened state
Refusing to keep waiting
Until the clouds overhead begin breaking
Willing to weather any storm
All for a chance to be reborn
Risking safety and security
So as to reach a new level of purity
Purging every primal urge so something more exquisite can emerge
Surely requires a tremendous amount of nerve
Becoming so self aware of things seemingly not even there
An ability so rare acquired only by those willing enough to dare
Putting caution aside
Unwilling to rely on just their pride
Knowing it to be unwise
When undertaking a journey of this size
Already knowing the greatness that walks in their shoes
Without anything left to prove
Setting the bar much higher than before
Without having to keep any score
Becoming an example that many could adore...
