For my husband as he struggles
We went through hell together,
I'd like to make that clear.
I fought through chains and darkness,
Just to bring you near.

I expect the same from you,
Because I know who you are.
The things you battle in your mind,
One day you'll cast them far.

You'll wake up and see I'm not to blame,
That I am not the enemy.
One day the smoke will settle on your hill,
And you'll be smiling, staring back at me.
