it may interest you to know i was once stingy
oh my great stingy days
when all i have is mine alone
sharing a little looks alike a suicide mode
so i cherish and eat my pie alone
this graced my life till my teenage stage
when becoming a vibrant and knowledgeable youth becomes my aim
along this path i earned my gain
from stingy grip i slipped away
not an easy slip i really must say
a hard slip that enforces the lessons till date

still remember how i slipped away
to a nearby canteen for a delicious meal during the day
having seated and awaiting my ordered meal
here it finally comes and yes very hot it is
though hungry but cant dear to taste
due to the hotness the meal retain
as i saw from afar my friends coming closer
my instinct start telling of how hungry i will remain
if my friends meet this hot meal untouched by me
at this instinct i did jump at my it
took a hot first spoon and swallowed it as hot as it is
the burnt it gave to my tongue and pharynx
was so strong i find it hard to swallow anything again
after my stupid stingy act
it will shock you to know my friends never came to that canteen
they turned and walk a different direction
there i sat with regret and pains
for days i could not swallow again
the rest of the food i left and walked away
that simple act of pain was the freedom i gained
that enabled me from stingy hands to slip away
till date i share all i have
and stinginess has been forgotten by me till date.
