Time

You take many forms
Unable to be the norm
We've tried to capture you
We've tried to bind you
We've even tried to control you
Yet you elude our grasp
No matter how hard we try
No matter what we do
We cannot change you
Control you
Or know you
Yet you seem to know all about us
You capture us
Bind us
Control us
Without even trying
While we do the dying
The crying
The begging
And the forgetting
We hate you
We envy you
Still
We love you
For Without you
We'd be lost
In the past
In the future
Even in the present
So please
Never leave us.
