Let me lose myself
Though I write a fantasy
My words run off the page
Their magic finding mystery
In all the words I say

I can bring to life a garden
Where many hearts could grow
I could plant the seeds of misery
And watch the story sow

I'll kill off all the villains
So the heroes reign supreme
The prince will save the princess
People bowing to their King

I could rewrite the story
In the way that it should go
So that we can all be happy
And not have to feel the sorrow

For I did not like the ending
It's the truth I cannot bear
So hide me in my scribbled sighs
Let me lose myself in there
