A man has a repeat dream
The very tired man sat on the edge of his bed and let out a long, deep sigh. He was hoping to finally get some sleep this night. For the past several nights he had been having the same dream over and over. As if it was trying to tell him something. He had been trying to sort out what it meant as he had never had this dream before.
He took off his silver Rolex and laid it on his cherry oak nightstand. He swung one leg up at a time onto the bed and let out again another sigh. He looked over to his right and saw his wife sleeping. He leaned over and kissed her cheek softly and then within a minute of his head hitting the pillow he fell asleep.
The dream consumed his subconscious. The giant wall clock chiming every hour on the hour. With every chime getting louder and louder it felt as if time was running out and the clock was warning him. His head was pounding and he started having difficulty breathing and felt as if his heart was going to explode out of his chest.
“Hey, honey! You’re finally going to be a grandpa! Your daughter is about to give birth! She just called! Come on we have to get over to the hospital!” The man’s wife woke him suddenly very excited.
“What?!” he half asked and half stated.
That was it. That was why the clock was chiming every night in his dreams. It was counting the time and hour the baby would be born. Its’s official. The man is now a grandfather.
The man realized that was why the clock was chiming louder and louder. It was telling him the time was near. Now, it finally arrived.
