I wrote this poem from the feelings of being a side partner.
I know how I feel deep down inside.
But I don’t know how to express it without hurting.
I’d fly to the moon to find out if this feeling is true.
But I won’t leave this bedroom without you.

I’m dying inside
I don’t feel loved
Hold me while I cry
I’m going to be alright.

You’ve made my life have a purpose.
I’ve made your life have a purpose.
Hiding behind our own walls
We still find purpose in each other's eyes.

You’re mad at me
You snap at the words I say
I’ll try to calm you down
But all you need is space

Kiss me slowly
I’ll remember the taste of your lips
Love me wholly
I’ll remember the feeling of your touch

Suicide nights
But you’re always there to talk some sense into me
What if you’re not there?
Will I be gone within a day?

This time together makes me feel alive
This time tomorrow it’ll just be a memory
Hold me one last time
Before we say goodbye

Please don’t say goodbye
Please don’t leave me
I need you
Don’t you need me?

This isn’t healthy
This relationship we have
But I want to make it right
Will you love me unconditionally?

I’m here for you no matter what
“I prefer her, but let me snuggle up with you.”
Oh, let me throw aside my feelings and listen to you.
But I’ll cry myself to sleep at night.

I want you
But you don’t want me
I make you happy
But I’ll be left in the rain.
