Meant To Make Sense

No longer can ignore
So much has become a bore
More so than before
Having to keep score
Becoming such a chore
Do not want to have to do it anymore
Starting on the ground floor
Ready to endure
All for a chance to become something more
Trying to build things up
Knowing it will be tough
Just how it goes with some stuff
Coming through in the clutch
Because I have had enough
No longer staying stuck
Taking the brunt of the blow
All because I know
Just the way it has to go
Going toe to toe
Not backing down from any foe
Dispelling any heathen
Standing in the way of my freedom
Dealing with those that chose not to believe in
The things I have been needing
Doing the best that I can
Knowing that many will not understand
Sticking to my original plan
Not expecting a helping hand
Deciding to never repent
Because I chose not to relent
Not leaving just a mark but making a dent
Now knowing that it was always meant to end up making perfect sense...
