Spring Is Sprung

After much chill and cold
Spring is finally here
Winter no longer has a hold
Now there is great cheer

The snow will come no more
The slippery slush has lost its power
Although rain will still come to pour
For each and every flower

Birds that went away
Now come back to roost
No longer are we cold castaways
The warmth our sprits will boost

So glad that spring is back
For winter that has clung
We should commemorate with a plaque
That Spring is finally sprung
