A short piece of work I wrote in 2010
                   Communism Josh 2010
Darkness surrounds everything as my body races down the empty street at midnight. My heart is pumping fast as if it wants to break free from its shackles. Lights from the society become a blur only lighting the way for conformist. After a period of running non-stop I stop to take a breath, but then the sounds of sirens can be heard approaching. No matter how much I run the noise from the sirens follow and with each moment it closes in. Life as I know it is about to come to an end leaving no trace of the old me. To think just the other day, I was a normal American living the dream. All of a sudden, a beam of light appears from the direction of the sirens and begins to move toward my direction. I jump to the side and take cover behind a pile of old wood. Too scared to move a muscle I just behind the pile in a fetal position hoping that they don’t find me. All of a sudden it begins to rain and the light grows brighter. Within the next couple of moments, men with guns surround me. They then rush towards my location and begin to remove the pieces of wood that surrounded me. Within seconds they had found my body and began to lift me. When they put the handcuffs on me they read “Society”. No matter how much you run you can never escape society. Even though we hate communist each day America is becoming more and more communist even with Obama. As seen with me don’t try to run from the “change” just conform and take it as it comes. Thank you.
