16 year old Genesis is just living her life, trying to find the best way to live.
Everyone was always aware of Genesis's creative abilities. Genesis was one of those people who everyone loved. And she was one of the happiest people you ever met, but no one knew the actual truth. Well no one, but the people in her stories. To get away from the world Genesis wrote stories, and not just small stories. Her "stories" as she called them were notebooks among notebooks. These stories were her story. In every notebook, was a different story, or at least everyone thought they were. In these notebooks were her story, her life, in every perspective possible. She started these stories when her life started to fall apart. Writing is the only thing that keeps her happy. When she writes she loses herself, she forgets the bad, she keeps good. Genesis had about seven notebooks full page to page front to back with her story. And now she is ready to show what she went through and how she got through all of her problems. The way she did it was one no one will ever forget, because no one could ever figure out what really happened. But they made her notebooks public, a new page of two in the paper every day. Which means a new page or two shared with the whole world because of social media.
"Well you know how everyone is told to be themselves? Well, I'm here to tell you, that is complete bullshit. Yes, we are told to be ourselves, but be exactly how everyone wants us to be. So everyone is scared to be the real them. I know exactly what it's like to be told to be yourself and then told that you need to be like everyone else. But being exactly like everyone else is not what you want, and you definitely don't want to be like the stuck up rich white girls we all see and idolize in school. No one wants to be exactly like that, anorexic or bulimic just to stay skinny. No one wants to kill their feet wearing six inch heels or pounds of makeup on the daily, or bleach your hair every couple of weeks to keep it the perfect shade of "Barbie" blonde. No one wants to spend hundreds of dollars on surgeries, makeup, clothes, and shoes, just to make everyone love them. That's where you're all wrong.
Everyone wants to be exactly like that, but me, that's also the reason you're reading my stories I'm not breathing anymore."
Everyone knew Genesis carried around notebooks and was constantly writing in them, but no one knew it was her call for help. Genesis was a major schizophrenic, had multiple personalities, and was bipolar. No one was aware of her conditions because she hid them, her multiple personalities were her friends. And this was why there were so many notebooks, it was all the same story from different perspectives, and personalities. No one was exactly sure why her first notebook opened like that, how did she know she was going to be dead when they read theses? They decided to put themselves into her stories, like they were her, essentially living her life; which is exactly how Genesis wanted it. She had it planned on her way to the foster home that cold, stormy, October day seven years ago.
"I know I'm only ten and probably have no idea what I'm talking about, and you never know my plan might have changed and developed over the years. But, I know for a fact that the only way you are reading these is because I'm dead, very close, or I have disappeared. Yes, I know everyone is talking about me and how they knew me and never imagined this possible, but no one knew the real me, except me. I've tried to tell people about the voices but no one listened. They started about a month before the accident. I woke up and heard a bunch of voices arguing, but everyone was asleep, and everywhere else was quite. I knew I was going crazy and was extremely scared to tell anyone, but my best friend. He was the only one I knew I could trust with my life and that was my mistake.... My life was in his hands from day one, he knew that but he didn't care. But now, now that I'm not here, he's the most devastated. See it's actually kind of his fault why I'm writing these stories. You see, He was my best friend my whole life, just him and me against the world. We never did anything without each other. But he wasn't with me the night of the accident, and I'm pretty sure that's something we all regret. See when the accident happened we had just gotten into a fight and cut contact with each other for two weeks, and this was day one of week two. Early that morning, September ninth, cold, stormy, and extremely gloomy. It was kind of scary, now I feel like the weather was trying to tell me something was off. He found me at school, he pulled me out early. I don't know how the school let me go to him, he was unknown, and I’ve never seen his face before. I didn’t say anything or refuse to go because he had a gun, and I didn’t want to die, or to have anyone else die because of me. So I walked out with him, and got into his car. He had a super nice, gold Chrysler 300. It had a super awesome sound system and it was pretty much my dream car. He opened the car door for me and made sure I got in before he got in. For someone kidnapping a kid he was super nice, and he seemed kind of remorseful. He brought me to a house in a neighborhood that was far from mine. I wasn’t really sure what to do I was petrified. The house was really nice, and big. He brought me in and treated me like as if I was his child. Until two days later when he brought me back home in the middle of the night. Nothing happened then, but we were expecting it. No, it didn’t happen anytime soon. Flash forward October 31, I’m ten, still such a little kid so I of course dress up and go trick-or-treating. Me being an only child I had anything and everything I’ve ever wanted. But it wasn’t what I wanted. Because of who I was no one wanted to be my friend.
No one gave any of this a thought, but everyone realized real fast; Genesis was alone all the time, never talked about friends, She was alone. Except for the one boy who knew her better than anyone and everyone. He was the one who saved her.
You know being ten and being kidnapped like that didn’t affect me as much as anyone would think; yes it was traumatizing, but he didn’t touch me or hurt me and I was returned home. But it was Halloween a month after my abduction. We went trick-or-treating, ate dinner, then went to bed, and that’s when life ended for me. He broke in, murdered them without a second thought. Then he took advantage of me, and left me there crying, hurt, and ALONE. I was terrified called the cops, and on the way to the station I decided I was going to document my life, and eventually share it with everyone on bad circumstances unfortunately. So now you’re all caught up. I got this journal from Officer
