Prompt: "I recently put myself out there and applied for a writing position on the TV show I idolized as a kid. Just for good mojo, let’s make today’s prompt all about Getting your dream job."

My dream job is working as a therapist with those who suffer from addiction or mental illnesses. I am a firm believer that one's past shapes who they are today. I feel that people often respond negatively not because they are angry at the person they are talking to but because they are angry at somebody in their past. As a chaplain it is my job to help people develop relationships with Jesus Christ. We see him as a Father figure but if your earthly father showed you no love then how are you to love a Heavenly Father whom you have not seen? As a therapist my job will be to help people answer these questions and more. I am working on a regents degree with a minor in psychology and I hold a bachelor of divinity from another college. My next step is to finish school then get a job with the local community mental health agency.
