Sable and Kimba return to the construction site, but can't foresee what happens next.
Leaving the precinct, Sable and Kimba drove for what seemed like forever, and then finally arrived at their destination, the construction site they were at yesterday. Kimba looked to Sable a bit confused,
"Did we not get everything we needed yesterday?" She asked as Sable stepped out,
"Not quite." He said walking towards the entrance, once again flashing his badge to the guard. Walking in, Sable stood and looked around but then heard a voice from one side,

"Detective!" It shouted, the human looking to see where it came from and he saw the bear hybrid Bryan from yesterday walking up to him,

"What a surprise, we didn't expect you to back so soon." At that time, Kimba came up be hide Sable, looking up at the bear when he approached,

"Do you have more questions to ask?" Bryan asked, looking down at the two officers, Sable tipping his hat up to look up at the tall bear,

"Eh, not really, was hoping that we could see something." Sable replied, then looked around,

"Your boss around, figure he would want to know we're here again."

Bryan smirked, putting his hands on his hips in a masculine pose,

"Well, you're in luck; he ain't here today, putting the second-in-command in charge, which is me." He put a thumb to his chest with a confident smile, obviously aspiring to be in charge,

"So, what do you wanna see?"

"Well..." Sable started, liking that he wouldn't be dealing with that cranky ape again, especially after what he had to deal with that morning,

"Was wonderin' if I could have a look at Jonathan's locker, if he had one?" He asked, putting his hands in his coat pockets,

"We wanna see if there might be anythin' in there that he might have been keepin' in there that could help us in some way."

Bryan looked around for a moment, as if to make sure nobody that mattered saw, then he turned back to the two and with a nod, he motioned them to what looked like a row of shipping containers set to the side of the building the crew was working on.

"You caught us at a good time, Mr. Crosshairs." Bryan said as he led them to the buildings,

"The whole work site is currently on a fifteen minute break that just started, so if you do have any questions, people will be able to be gotten a hold of easily, as no one's allowed in the build site 'til break is over." He continued as they walked up to one of the builds, and he opened the door and went in with the human and feline following,

"Now these buildin's are special, the company made 'em so that they can be moved from site to site with little hassle so that their employees can have somewhere to keep their stuff while on the job."

"That's nice of them." Sable said as he looked around the inside, there were two rows of lockers on both sides of the walls with another two rows down the middle of the room.

"Well, to be honest, we probably wouldn't get half this much if it wasn't for the union."

From there, Bryan led them over to a locker over on the far side of the room near the end of one row and stood in front of it,

"Think this is what yer lookin' for." Sable approached looking down at it seeing a name plate that reads 'J. Moon', he then reached up and grabbed a padlock that was on the latch and he looked to Bryan,

"Wouldn't happen to have the key, would ya?"

"Can't say I do, but if you need me to open it..." The bear glanced over to him with a wink,

"I can."

Sable smirked at him but Kimba decided to speak up,

"Well sir, I will inform you they we do not have a warrant, but..."

"But..." Sable interrupted her,

"If you decided the open it on your own, there wouldn't be anything we could do, as it's your company's property." The detective said, Kimba looking over to him with a disproving stare. Bryan thinks about it for a moment, then holds up one finger and walks off, leaving the two alone for a moment.

"He could get in trouble for this, you know." The feline said to Sable, but the human just shrugged his shoulders,

"Hey, they'll need to get into it anyways, two birds, one stone." He responded, glancing over at the locker,

"Besides, if we find something worth while, I'm sure the company will turn a blind eye to it."

A few moments later, Bryan came back with a decently sized pair of red bolt cutters, Sable and Kimba moving aside as he walked up, placing the cutters against one side of the U shaped shackle, then quickly and easily squeezed the holds together, and cut through. The bear held the cutters in one as he reached with his other to pull the ruined lock off, then stepped aside, motioning to Sable to do as he pleased.

Walking up to the locker, Sable opened it up and looked inside, and what met him was a vest, helmet, and what looked like a welding mask. The detective pulled them out and looked though them,

"Looks like these are the only things Jonathan left in here." Sable said as he continued to look, Bryan leaning over to see.

"Looks like, his vest, helmet, and sugar scoop, pretty typical for a welder, though I did expect some personal effects." He said, looking at the mostly barren locker.

"Hm yeah, guess he left that kind of stuff at home." Sable said, then looked up at Bryan,

"Sugar scoop?" He said with a raised brow, not knowing what the bear was talking about, Bryan just chuckled, and Kimba leaned down to him,

"It's what the mask looks like."

"Oh... Neat." Sable looked down at it, then to the helmet, compared to Bryan's and other workers, it was completely free of any personal markings like decals or writing of any kind except for one, it was what looked liked a little stylized blue devil with Jonathan's name below it,

"You know anythin' about this?' He asked looking to Bryan, pointing to the symbol, who then pointed to a similar one that was red on his hard hat,

"It shows that you're one of the welders around here, we call ourselves the fire devils." He had a little chuckle at that, the bear thinking it was stupid, but that was tradition on the worksite, so he just went with it. Sable gave a smirk before continuing,

"Well, the color is obviously different from yours, does that signify anythin'?" He asked, but the bear just shrugged,

"It was his favorite color, that was some of the little bit I knew of him, standard color is red, but you can get them printed in others if you request it."

"I see." Sable said with his hand on his chin, he was kind of expecting to find more, but there just wasn't anything here. Kimba put a hand on his shoulder, seeing the disappointment in his eyes,

"Looks like your hunch came up dry."

"Yeah it looks like." Sable replied as he started to move to put everything back in the locker, but then he noticed a piece of paper fall out of one of the pockets of the vest and hit the ground face down. Curious, the human picked it up and turned to over to see it was a picture. Examining it, it looked to be one of Jonathan's family with Samantha to one side and little Bobby there in front, then to the other side next o the tigress was a man with white skin, dark brown hair, and hazel eyes. Sable pulled out the brush that Samantha had given him and pulled out a strand of hair and saw that it was the same color, not taking the time to see any pictures of Jonathan, the detective wasn't aware what he looked like. Putting the brush back in his pocket, Sable held the photo out to Bryan,

"I take it this is Jonathan?" He asked, Bryan taking and looking at it for a moment before handing it back,

"Sure is, it's a damn shame what happened, looks like he had a lot goin' for him, you sure what you found was him?"

"Well, the body was only found just yesterday, so there will need to be more tests done to identify it, but from what we've found and leaned so far..." Sable paused for a moment, looking down at the photo, knowing how much grief Samantha must be going through right now,

"It's lookin' like it."

There was silence for a moment, but before anyone could speak up, the door to the building was quickly pulled open, and a human woman came in, in a panic,

"Bryan, oh gods, it's terrible!" she said excitedly as the bear looked to her in concern,

"Calm down Jill, what's the matter?"

"I-it's Clyde, h-he fell from the tenth floor!" She managed to get out and Bryan got a sudden look of shock on his face, then without hesitating, he quickly rushed out the door with the woman. Kimba looked to Sable who pocketed the picture and threw everything back in the locker, closing it, and looked to her with a head motion to follow, and the two hurried off the see what happened.
