The depressing cold will find its way,
to creep in like a dog that stray…
Will take away from our heart,which felt
Comfort of the slightest warmth that's left,
And yes, it hurts

Blanket feels heavy, and I cannot stay awake
It's hard to push that comfortable warmth away
Even though I know it's death, not sleep!
Thoughts are like a herd of sheep,
They won't listen to their master’s growls
Wandering around her memories in groups.
And yes, it hurts

I miss those moments of her heavenly touch,
And it pinches my heart like a lit up torch,
The burning emotions,I can hear them cry
Like birds with feathers too heavy to fly
And yes, it hurts

Wondered what will take me out of this agony,
Then came answer and it was gluttony.
Filled my stomach like a swine that starved
It didn't help,it's not food that I craved
And yes,it hurts.

What I did was to play with fire;yes, unwise
Deep,I fell into the cold,thin ice
Gagging under the ice for breath
I wondered, if this is death
And yes it hurts

"Never lose hope",
The saying has a scope.
Came a friend with that familiar smile
Told,these thoughts are just imbecile.

And a story of his recent visit
to a place that is too damn frigid.
Morning the sun rays will creep in slow
To the room, where the warmth is low.
By the window,where the rays hit a corner
he said it felt like a burner
And yes,it hurts
He sat there for hours,in peace
Looking at the snow covered peaks
Listening to the same old song
And yes, it was a Niel Young song.

Sometimes it's better to be lonely
For that shows us our world is lovely
Sometimes it's better to taste the bitter
For it makes the good times sweeter

It's hard to push off the heavy blanket
It's hard not to make the sheep's go stray
It's hard to let go of the fire,
It's hard to pull ourselves out of the ice
Yes it hurts
But for good.
