Dawn
I wander along this avenue (a)
The trees are lined in rows of two (b(
A warm breeze upon my face (a)
The birds sing their chorus song (b}
Daffodils gently sway in grace
Sun peeps through at dawn :(b)
A gentle wind blows
The blossoms from the trees fall
Fine petals flow
Like snow. ©
Bright leaves will spring
And once again
the birds
will spring..(c)

New lesson 17/5/18.
Re write the poem in a different style

A gift I was given
on Christmas day
Under the tree
wrapped in pretty ribbon
My name on display.

I removed the wrapping fast
A pink hand bag I gasped.

I looked in the wardrobe
And said
' My coat is blue
and my shoes are black
How can I match you?'
And a thought come into my head.

So right a the back
On a shelve sits the pink handbag
Along with the other useless gift stack.

New pattern style.

First verse quintet -
Second verse a couplet
third verse a sestet.
Forth verse triplet

I can do thisI can do this

NEW LESSON 12/5/2018
Lesson 1 give some thought at the things around you, and jot down what you see and then try to create a

poem. This is my creation..
Poem 2 write a poem from memory after writing prose from a childhood memory.
Prose at school I hated poetry and Robert Burns poetry was my fear of my classroom poetry teacher. Miss Senwick. These are my creations I haven't chose a particular rhyme or rythem{/c]

First a look around the room and this is what I created from a gift I had in my wardrobe.
PINK HANDBAG
A gift I was given
On Christmas day
Wrapped with p/
retty paper and ribbon
Under the tree my name on display
I tore at the paper of fast
A pink handbag I gasped
In the wardrobe 'What can I match you?'
And looked at a coat but the colour was blue
All my shoes were black
So on the shelve right at the back
Along with the other useless gift stack.

{c:greenA childhood memory
. My teacher was Miss Senwick
And poetry was her game
She was no spring chick, but knew how to draw the cane
She would call out my name
And say My neice is much brighter than you
And younger too
Robert Burns was her poetry fame
And I feared miss sendwicks and the poets name.
Years went by and by chance we had a chat.
'What do you do what employment are you at?'
I replied 'I'm in a electronic factory I'm a coil winder too.
And to my surprise she said 'My niece is on the brew.'
'Can you speak for her and get her employment beside you.'
Well well I thought, after what you put me through
No way I'm going to ignore you.

My note Brew Scottish for unemployment benefit;

As for Robert Burns I like his poems now.
