School work is hard
"I'll see you after."
"Okay."
"Don't be nervous."
"Okay."
I stood with you in front of a classroom in your University. You'd been studying, but kept telling me you were anxious regarding your upcoming test.
"I love you. Go on, I'll be here when you get out."
"I love you, too."
You kissed me gently and awkwardly stumbled into the classroom. True to my word, I met you outside of the room two hours later and you hugged me tightly, then you walked me to the car. I watched you quietly the whole time, trusting you'd tell me how it went when and if you wanted to tell me. When we got into the car, you slumped against me and buried your face in my lap.
"I got a 79%."
I barely heard you murmur into my thigh.
"You passed."
"Yeah...but I failed."
My eyebrows pinched together and I pulled your face up towards mine.
"You did your best. And, next time, you'll do even better."
You grinned at me slightly and kissed my nose.
