Jack Leeds
First, a note: This scene is the first piece of The Calling written with any specific antagonist in mind. This was the End of the story which several sections aim to meet.
At the funeral of Jack Leeds, most Seers attend, but do not have a part in all good thing said about him. When coffin is six-feet under, before dirt covers the grave, they see the lid open in shadow. Jack's dark spirit climbs out. Several 'free' spirits restrain it before it can take another step. They drag it below the earth. The seers attending smile unanimously.
(Note, there is a gap between Before the Call and After. Before the Call = Jack Leeds?)
