A 100-word story for the Musical Drabble Contest
The King

George walked into the house and greeted his wife with “Happy Anniversary, Sweetie!” He produced a bouquet, then marched over and kissed her.

Jennifer pulled back, staring at him. “Well, the king of the castle has returned. And what is it that the king desires?” A smile played on her lips.

“Only my queen,” he laughed.

“Your wish is my command!” Grabbing his hand, she led him to the bedroom.

George opened the nightstand and produced a bottle of blue pills.

“Do you really need those?”

George grinned. “Now what kind of a king would I be without a scepter?”
