Good-bye, I'll Miss You!

13 years.
Has it been that long?
They tell me, "Get over him!"
I am trying to be strong.
You were my best friend.
We did everything together.
We'd play hide and seek.
I held your hand through stormy weather.
We were partners in crime.
Halloween? Lilo and Stitch.
We promised to always be there,
Whether poor or rich!
Yet time had stopped us.
Remember it all. Still torn apart!
Didn't even get to say good-bye.
That day in march, with the wrecked car.
I cry when i think
Of all the fun we always had.
Just the thought of you gone,
Still drives me so mad!
I sometimes wish it were me
Instead of you that cold day.
That way you could live on
And i don't have to say,
That I wish you were here
And these tears still feel new.
