---------------------------------------------------------------
Arrival marks the span of years,
when snow brings with it joyous cheers.
The air is frigid days before
and icy cold the garden's floor as snow it nears.
'Twas quite a blizzard stopped our town
with fewer drivers driving 'round.
For two long hours it powdered face
with not a snowflake out of place, still green was found.
To make her angels in the snow,
the daughter flopped and limbs did go.
The white and stalwart sentry stood,
she fashioned snowman, looking good as days would know.
But after lunch the sunny smile
so warmly greeted snow awhile,
It bid adieu to sunlit part,
while shade a bastion did impart to fluffy style.
The snow in Georgia visits rare
and Northern folk might give a stare,
Not at the ice cream flakes around,
but at the Southerners homebound by snowy glare.
