The Mountain

The mountain stands tall quiet and still. The snow had only touched the highest peaks of the mountain. The mountain could sense a storm, a storm that could end the fall and bring on the cold of winter. The mountain can only wait. The mountain doesn't hate winter. The mountain understands that to have spring you must endure winters relentless fall. The winter is what makes the mountain strong. After the harshness of winters cold and snow are endured the mountain can give back to the world in spring. In this way the mountain appreciates the grit of winter, and the grit it gives him.
