Two Halves of Man
By Lisa Noe
Two halves of a whole,
One an angel the other a troll.
A mad man was made by sipping wine,
The angel spoke, “those wings are mine.”
A dirty devil tries to overtake,
The angel has faith for Heaven’s sake.
“Evil rules this world we’re in,
Just look around, don’t pretend.”
A tear falls down the angel’s face.
“You old demon you are out of place.”
“No, not I, for I just watch them,
Mankind destroys himself, their dim.”
Good men still exist, but evil rules the world
Two sides of man, which one has been fooled
The good man helps you out of a jam
While the evil side says, “let life be damned.”
A light will come for the angel’s side,
While the devil is full of nasty pride.
A form I created myself, I call it LANO form
The rhyme scheme is aabb etc. It has three stanzas of 6 lines each.
