Confession/Prayer: Failing to Obey

Heavenly Father,

What a beautiful day You have given us! It’s amazing how each day has its own kind of beauty. Thank You for a peaceful and fulfilling night of rest. I know that taking a day of Sabbath is important to You because You included it in the 10 commandments. Many of us don't even realize that we are not honoring You, by not remembering, that RESTING is important to You. You even set an example by resting on the 7th day when You called into existence a world of difference. Teach us how to glorify You by following and observing this commandment. Forgive those of us who do not partake in taking a day to rest to recharge, to rejuvenate, to refresh, to revive, to regenerate for we do not know what we are not doing. By not taking the time to rest might be one reason why some people haven’t found happiness. Imagine if we all were to obey this day of rest. I'm sure people would be more kind, generous, caring, considerate, sympathetic, sensitive, concerned, supportive, understanding, courteous, polite, sweet, intentional, passionate, radical, selfless. What a wonderful world this would be. If only.......
