O Wretched Man from every age,
For all our sins death was the only wage.
He came as grace to set us free,
We heard him not and hung him on the tree.
“Forgive them father, they no not what they do”
Is what He said, even in pain we put Him through!
He was a lover of Man, Just and Kind
We were the only thing in His mind.
Oh! Such Great was the Love, Deep was the Loss
On the mount of Calvary when we put Him upon the cross.
The veil was torn and the wage was received
True to the word His Father had promised.
And on the third day, bursting forth in all his glory,
The King awoke victorious to complete the story.
All that He wants us to do, is believe that it is true.
His death, resurrection and into heaven will He take us through.
Death, decay, persecution, will we be free from all mortal chores
With Him in eternity with lasting Peace, Joy and Love forevermore.
So In His name repent for your sins, needless to say,
Let His Love hold your heart and faith lead the way.
He sits at the right hand of God, upon the ‘Throne of Glory’
His name is Jesus, and this is His story.
