The Harper family gets sent back in time by taking a photo of themselves.
Chapter I
Egor, The Tinkerer

“Welcome to Egor’s Antique Shop. How may I be of assistance today?” Egor asked as Amy and Wally walked into the store.

The door shut behind them. As the red painted, wooden door closed, the bell that rested a couple inches above the door, rang and sang again. The bell was there to indicate customers walking in and out of the store. Amy and Wally walked up to Egor at the front counter. Egor noticed something about this couple. He noticed that they were looking for something specific….a camera. Not just any digital camera you see in today's time, but a vintage camera from way back in the early forties around World War II. They walked over to the glass countertop and looked at one very specific camera...the Test Camera 1925.

“Ahh, I see you found the Test Camera 1925. She's quite a beauty isn't she?” Egor asked while kneeling down to unlock the glass cabinet.

There were a lot of camera displayed in the glass cabinet. But Amy and Wally wanted to see that very Camera they desired desperately. Egor then reached his hands in the glass cabinet and gently picked up the camera and pulled it out. He then set the camera down on a silk cloth and presented the camera to the couple.

“How much do you want for it? I'll give you ten-thousand for it!” Amy said as soon as Egor set the camera down.

He looked at Amy with nervousness in his eyes. He knew secrets about this camera no one else knew, except for the C.S.I Agents that brought the camera back to him after the previous owners disappeared after purchasing the camera.

“Is there a story behind this camera? Like where it came from? When it was made? Just the basics?” Wally questioned Egor as he shed a sweat tear down the side of his face.

Egor picked up his keys from off the countertop and walked out from behind the counter. He walked over to the front door and locked it. He then grabbed his open and close sign and turned it to closed. He then walked back over to the counter. Amy and Wally seemed very suspicious on why Egor was locking the door.

“If I may Egor; why'd you lock the door? Aren't you open until 8:30 tonight? It's only 4:21 p.m.?”

“Why yes, you're absolutely right Wallace. But in order to tell you the backstory of this camera, I must tell you in secret. No one else can know about the secrets this camera holds.” Egor stated.

“Now that the door is locked; allow me to begin. It all started back in 2009 when a young couple like yourselves came into my store. They purchased this very camera you see before yourselves. They paid triple the price you are about to pay today. For one, I would advise you not to take pictures with this camera. This camera has the capabilities of manipulating your mind and making you believe what it wants you to believe. Don't say I didn't warn you. Anyways, the family brought the camera home one night and decided to go against my warning and decided to take a picture of themselves. When they did, they were never seen again until today. They came into my store a couple of weeks ago. But they weren't the young couple anymore. Instead, they were older, much older like me. And so on and so forth, they came into my shop and saw this very camera. They said that they remembered taking the picture but after that, they remembered nothing. They said that their minds were blank. All they remembered was sitting on a bench in Central Park in 1942! Just so you know, this camera has many more secrets, but once you put it on display, I hope, you'll see that it's an ordinary camera.” Egor told the couple.

“Well, that seems intimidating. We’ll take it!” Wally and Amy said not caring about the consequences of taking pictures. Little did they know, that they would have the same fate as the last couple that purchased the camera a couple of years ago.

Egor then walked over to the register, hesitantly, and started punching in the numbers. Wally then pulled out his MasterCard credit card and asked if he took MasterCard.

“Yes I do. I see you have a chip reader credit card. When you hear the beep, you can insert your card at the bottom when prompted.” Egor said quietly.

Amy and Wally were so excited to take the Camera home with them and show the family. It was going to be a gift to their great grandmother, who is eighty-seven years old. Her name is Susie Parker. Susie loved collecting antiques and ancient relics of the past. One thing she needed to complete her collection was a Test Camera 1925 camera. She had never seen one, much less held one in all of her lifetime. This camera is the only thing she had wanted from the family for ages and now she's finally getting her wish.

“Alright Mr. Harper. You're all set to go. Let me come unlock the door for you. I'm closing early the next couple of days because I have family business to attend to.” Egor lied to Amy and Wally.

Egor then ran to the front door and unlocked it with his keys. He then walked back to the counter and pulled out a box from below the glass countertop. He put the silk cloth and camera into the box and pulled out his tape gun and staple gun.

“Just so it doesn't fall out, I'll triple tape it for you along with some heavy duty staples. And don't worry the purchase comes with a replacement warranty. So if you lose it, we will find a new exact camera and ship it to your house.” Egor said nervously as he gave the dangerous camera to the curious couple.

“Thank you Egor. We hope to do business again soon!” Amy and Wally said as they opened the front red painted door and walked out of the store.

Egor then put his face in the palms of his hands. He had made the biggest mistake ever by putting the camera back on display, even when the C.S.I people told him to keep it off the shelves for good.

“What have I done? I just put another family's lives in danger. Once they find out the real secrets of the camera, they'll never see the light of the 21st Century again. But hey that's not my problem, I'm just the Tinkerer,” Egor told himself.

Chapter II
Snapshot

Later that night, everyone was sitting down in front of the presents under the Christmas tree. There were yellow gifts with turquoise bows, red and green wrapping paper, and more. Mark and Ashley, the two youngest kids of the family were anxious to open their gifts. Amy then asked the family to quiet down because they were all talking in excitement.

“Alright before we start opening the presents, I would like to give Susie her present first,” Amy said excitedly as she walked over to the tree and grabbed a plain brown rectangular box with scotch tape holding it shut.

Susie was sitting on the couch next to her husband Phillip. Susie and Phillip have been together ever since they got married right before the United States joined World War II. Susie was excited to see what Wally and Amy had gotten her for Christmas. Amy then walks over to Susie and gives her the big rectangular brown box.

“Here ya go Ma. It's something you've been begging us for for awhile now,” Amy hinted as Susie began tearing open the box gently with her wrinkly, shaky hands. Susie had short white, curly hair. She was wearing a dress from 1935 that she had gotten for Christmas from Phillip. Her dress was silk. The dress was homemade by Phillip who was a dressmaker and owned his own dress shop called The Perfect Match. But when the Great Depression hit America, his shop went out of business because people were too poor to afford a beautiful homemade dress.

“You didn't. AMY! Thank you so much,” Susie said as she pulled the Test Camera 1925 model out of the box. The camera was black with gold framing. It had a big middle rectangle with two quite smaller rectangle sides. It had a mount on the bottom of the camera to mount it to a tripod. It had a lens the size of a knuckle with a tiny flash stored right above the lens. The two outer rectangles had two silver buttons that were used to adjust the camera lens if needed. There was even a small button you could click to set a countdown timer on the camera.

“Uhh I think I did. You're welcome grandma. I love you. Merry Christmas,” Amy said as a big smirk on her face appeared. She was so happy that Susie liked the camera. She cupped her hands by her waist and she smiled.

“Let's take a family photo right now. You all pose, and I'll take the picture,” Susie insisted.

So the entire family, including the two youngest children Mark and Ashley. Amy had realized that she had forgotten to give Susie the Tripod so she could be in the picture too.

“Mom. Here I almost forgot. We also got you a camera stand to go along with the camera. We also got this from the antique shop. Well we had to go back after we realized that we had forgotten the stand for it. Egor was super nice. He was sweating a-lot though. But that didn't matter. All that matters is that we're all here together on this magnificent Christmas Eve night,” Amy stated as everyone was getting ready to take the picture.

Susie smirked at Amy. She knew something sounded a bit off about that guy named Egor, but she decided to to say anything because she didn't want to fight with the family on Christmas Eve. Amy then pulled the tripod out of its super long box and set it up on the carpet right in front of the Christmas tree. Amy then grabbed the camera from Susie and set it down on the tripod. The camera’s mount and the tripod fit perfectly.

“There. Now you can take the picture with us mama,” Amy stated as the camera rested on the mount.

Susie insisted on not taking a picture with the camera. She wanted to be the one to take the picture for the family. Phillip was ready to take the picture with the rest of the family. The family got into position before taking the picture. Then Susie clicked the tiny silver button on the left side of the camera and the ticking began. Everyone smiled and looked directly at the lens of the camera.

“Three. Two. One,” Susie said as she looked into the camera's lens from behind the camera.

Then the flash brightened the room. Susie covered her eyes as the flash did its thing. When the flash disappeared she looked back over by the Christmas tree. But when she looked, there was no one there. They were gone in the blink of an eye.

“Snapshot,” Susie said to herself as she started to panic.

Chapter III
Back In Time

When the family opened their eyes after the flash disappeared, they were no longer in their nice, cozy home in front of the Christmas Tree. Instead they were in Central Park all sitting on a bench. They weren't in their 21st Century clothes anymore. They were in 1940’s clothing. They were all confused on how they ended up in Central Park.

“Where are we?” Wally asked disorientated and confused. He was looking around. Everything looked normal. The skies were blue and the sun was shining. The birds were chirping and little kids were running around playing ball with their friends. One lady walked up to the family and asked if they were okay.

“Excuse me. If you don't mind me asking, are you fella’s okay? You've been sitting there for almost four hours staring at nothing. It's starting to freak everyone out a little bit,” the woman said.

“Oh we aren't from around here,” Amy said as she looked around. “Why are you dressed so funny? What year is this?” Amy continued.

The woman looks at Amy with smirk. She laughs at Amy and then replies back to Amy’s question.

“Oh honey. Have you been drinking too much? The year is 1942. We’re at war with Japan. Haven't you read the newspaper lately? Japan bombed Pearl Harbor a couple of months ago and a two days later, the United States declared war on Japan. So yeah, you're in 1942, my dear. My names Julia. I live in Queens. Why don't you come with me back to house and I'll catch you up on what's happening around the country. How's that sound?” Julia insisted to the family.

Everyone looked at their new friend named Julia. They all got up and brushed their clothes off with their hands. And followed Julia. They walked through the park. They saw little boys and girls playing fetch and throwing frisbees and kicking around balls in the grass. The boys were wearing shorts with straps that go over the shoulder. As for the girls, they wore the typical… the dress. Soon they reached the end of the park and walked onto the sidewalk.

“My home is only about two blocks from here. If we hurry, we will be able to get there before dinner time,” Julia said in a hurry.

They all walked up to a busy intersection. There were tall towers. Bird were chirping. Car were beeping and driving on the main roads. Traffic lights were changing from green, to yellow, to red all over town. Then the group walked passed an antique shop. It wasn't the antique shop they purchased the camera from just a couple hours before. It was a tiny antique shop. But they kept on walking. All everyone was thinking about was how they were going to get back to their time. Then they all walked up to a building. The building was made of red bricks. It was three stories high. When the wind blew hard, you could see the building sway just slightly from side to side.

“Alright friends. We're home. Come with me,” Julia said as she unlocked the front door to the apartment building. Julia then twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open. Then she walked into the building. Everyone else followed her. They walked into a fancy elevator. The wooded decorated elevator had magnificent paintings from famous artists. The floor of the elevator was dark oak wood planks. They were beautiful. Neatly placed in rows. There was a elevator operator. The female elevator operator was sitting in a fancy dining chair with beautiful carved wooden legs. She was wearing a white dress with red high heels. Her hair was red and curly. She had blue eyes and red lipstick on. She had light brown leggings on under her dress to cover her legs.

“Sometimes it gets pretty chilly in here,” the female elevator operator said as she pressed the button to go to the third floor.

The elevator jerked. It felt as if your body began to fall, but it didn't. It was just the elevator beginning to go up to the third floor. Julia was standing by the entrance way with her red velvet purse resting on her right arm. She was wearing a dark blue button down coat. The coat reached all the way down to her knees. The buttons were made of silver and were laced on by heavy duty black string. The collar of her coat had a thin layer of yellow on it to make it pop. On Julia’s head, she was wearing a red hat with a feather from a bald eagle. As for her dress, she was wearing a white dress as well with light brown leggings. She had white high heels on.

“If I may Mrs. Phillips, you look beautiful today. Where'd you get that fancy coat from? I'd have to get one for myself,” the elevator operator asked.

“Oh why thank you sugar. I got this from Harper’s. You know? That coat store in Manhattan? I love their clothing, but it's so expensive. I think I paid anywhere from $95.00-$115.00 for this coat,” Julia glimmered as she showed off her coat to the elevator operator.

Amy rolled her eyes and smiled at the woman. She was wondering where she could get that coat from too. She loved how it looked.

“We don't have any designer coats like that where I come from anymore,” Amy stated.

Julia quickly turned around and looked at Amy. Her mood wasn't the happy go lucky Julia anymore, it was fierce.

“What my friend here means to say is that she's not from around this part of town,” Julia corrected as she smiled.

Then the elevator came to a stop. The gates opened up and everyone walked out. The elevator operator asked for a tip and received one from Julia.

“Here's $0.50 cents, my friend. I will see you again soon,” Julia said as she pulled out her wallet to give the operator a tip.

Then the group all walked to apartment 104. Julia pulled out her key from her purse to unlock the door. Everyone was tired. Traveling back in time isn't so fun, especially when it's totally unexpected.

“All this time traveling has made me super tired--and hungry,” Ashley stated as she yawned.

“Well honey, you don't need to worry about that. I have you covered my dear,” Julia said as she tried to ignore the fact that she said that they time traveled.

Then Julia pulled the key out of the lock and opened the door. The hallway of the building were painted light brown and decorated with fancy, green and brown wallpaper on the lower half. The doors were all stained dark, dark brown.

“Okay, I'm sorry to burst anyone's bubbles, but did that little girl just say--time travel?” Julia asked confused.

“Yeah when we were in the elevator, I hinted that we weren't from around here; much less from this time period.” Amy stated.

“Well we mustn't waste anytime. C’mon get inside. I'm not allowed to have visitors at this late of an hour,” Julia said worrisome.

Everyone then hurried and walked into the massive apartment. It was a three bedroom, two bathroom, apartment. Equipped with the latest appliances. Everyone looked around and was amazed at how houses looked in this time period.

“Mustn't I say? This apartment is beautiful. Even though it could use some upgrading,” Amy said as she continued to look around the apartment.

The children were disappointed though. They weren’t happy at all. They walked into the living room area and looked all around for a tv, but couldn't find one.

“Where's the tv Mrs. Phillips?” Ashley asked politely as she sat down on the couch and took her shoes off.

“This is 1942, not 2017 my dear. We don't have tv’s; we have radios,” Julia chuckled as she walked into her kitchen to start preparing dinner.

Chapter IV
A Boat Load of Trouble

“Dinners done, my friends,” Julia said as she wiped her hands off with a red, light grey, and white wash cloth. She then took off her white apron and folded it up and put it in the cupboard.

Phillip was sitting on the flower decorated couch with his head resting in his right hand palm. Amy walked over to the couch and gently put her hand on his left shoulder.

“Hey grandpa, it's time to get up. Julia finished dinner,” Amy whispered to Phillip.

Phillip awoke suddenly with fear and confusion. He looked around the room wondering where he was. He grabbed Amy by her left hand and yanked her closer to his face.

“Who the--hell--are you? And where am I?” Phillip snapped as he let Amy’s hand loose of his tight grip.

Amy quickly backed away and tripped over a toy truck that was lying on the wooden floor. She fell and hit her head on the floor. Julia dropped everything and ran over to Amy who was lying on her back disorientated.

“What happened? Are you alright dear? Let me get you some ice. Be right back,” Julia said.

Amy lifted herself up with her elbows. She sat up and rubbed her head. Marcus and Ashley both ran over and apologized for leaving the toy truck on the ground.

“Sorry mama. It won't happen again,” Marcus said guilty of leaving the toy on the floor.

Julia came back from the kitchen with a rag with some ice in it. She started dabbing Amy’s head with the ice pack. She asked if Amy was okay. She started checking Amy for any cuts or injuries on her arms and neck, but there was nothing there.

Julia then wiped her forehead with the back of her hand.

“Pww, that was close huh? I thought you got hurt. Are you okay Amy? Do I need to call an ambulance?” Julia worried as she sat next to Amy on the floor.

Amy then stood up and walked over the dining room table. She pulled out a chair from the round, dark brown table and sat down. Everyone else walked over to the table and took a seat. The table had enough room to seat four people.

“I'm sorry. I wasn't expecting guests. If I knew ahead of time, which I did, I would have prepared for it,” Julia stated.

Amy rubbed her head again and set the rag with ice back on her head. She looked at Julia tired and confused.

“What'd you say? I thought I heard you say you knew we were coming. How? Who told you we were coming?” Amy demanded.

Julia began to shed sweat from her forehead. She looked around at the rest of the family. Amy’s family was looking right back at Julia waiting for an answer. Julia stood there for a minute. Then she got mad and put the dish of casserole down on the table.

“Okay you want your answer? I'll give you your answer. Egor. That's your answer,” Julia snapped.

Amy and Wally both looked at Julia. They remembered that the store owner of that antique shop was named Egor. He was the one that sold them the camera. Amy stood up in shock. She was having an anxiety attack.

“So--you mean to tell me that we could have been going back home this whole time. Do you have the camera? Did Egor give you one? I'm confused,” Amy snapped as she crossed her arms and huffed. Amy was fierce and angry at Julia, their new friend.

“So this is how it all began, okay. The year was 1940, so two years ago. A man named Egor approached me one day while I was walking down the streets of Queens and asked if I knew what a tinkerer was. A tinkerer is someone who is able to travel back in time through vintage artifacts and objects. Such as yourselves with that Test Model 1925 camera. Anyways, it was that exact day that I became a tinkerer. Believe it or not, Egor is the last remaining tinkerer. He is the father of all tinkerers. He traveled back to my time and told me that you had purchased the very camera I gave him as a thank you for allowing me to become a tinkerer. But one day when I was asleep, Egor came to me again in distress and asked me if I had seen a man in a suit walking the streets of Queens. And, in fact, I did--quite a few times. One day I was walking to work and he waited for me to exit the building and followed me all the way to work. Turns out, that the man in the suit was Egor’s evil brother-in-law, John. John wants all tinkerers to himself so he can have the power to go back in time to bring terror on the world. Egor hasn't been able to travel back here since then. He's been too afraid of getting caught by his brother who is trapped in this time period for all eternity, unless he kills each and every last tinkerer known to man. So I'm not holding you against your will, I'm asking you to stay so we can bring down John and save the remaining tinkerers. So that's the whole backstory. Are you happy now? Now I'm not in the mood to eat. I'll be in the bathing room if you need me. Goodnight,” Julia snapped as she walked off and down the hallway into the bathing room.

The family stood there in shock. They couldn't believe that Egor was a time traveler. Amy turned around facing the family.

“Maybe we’re tinkerers too. Think about it. Maybe the camera purposely sent us back here to help save the tinkerers and defeat John,” Amy stated as she started to think of a plan to help Julia and Egor.

Chapter V
Tinkology

The next morning Amy had awoken from a deep sleep in her tiny twin bed. She had sat up and threw the covers off of herself. She had stood up and walked down the hallway into the kitchen. She stopped to stretch for a second. Julia was in the kitchen with her apron on making breakfast for everyone. Amy pulled out a chair at the table and sat down. She looked at Julia and smiled.

“Good morning, Julia,” Amy said to Julia who was making eggs on the stovetop.

Julia stopped and looked at Amy for a second. She was no longer mad about the night before. In fact she was more happier than ever. She took the eggs off of the gas powered stovetop and set them aside on her counter top. She took off her apron and walked over to the dining room table and sat down next to Amy.

“You deserve answers, so I'm going to give them to you,” Julia said in a delightful mood.

Amy sat there thinking of questions to ask Julia about the man in the suit and who he was, what he wants to do, and why.

“So my first question is how did you become a tinkerer?” Amy asked curiously.

Julia sighed as she began to answer Amy’s question.

“Well, it's kind of a long story. When Egor approached me that one morning while I was walking to work, he had asked me to follow him to a secret location. It was an alleyway in between two tall brick buildings. He was wearing a gold ring with an orange diamond on top of it. He then stuck his hand out in front of him in a knuckle formation and a portal opened to another time period. He told me to follow him into the portal to his time, which so happens to be where you're from. So we walked into the portal together and we ended up landing in an antique shop. It was a beautiful antique shop. There were vintage artifacts, such as: an ancient totem pole. That totem pole was about five feet high and had carvings of scary faces on it. It creeped me out a little bit. Then I looked over to my left and saw a costume hanging from a hanger behind the counter. It was a just a normal zombie costume. Anyways, there were a ton of amazing artifacts in his shop. I couldn't help myself. He told me to focus. So I did. He unlocked the the glass cabinet with his hey and pulled out a set of golden rings with orange diamonds on them. “This won't only give you the power to time travel, but immortality as well,” Egor stated as he smiled at me. “Now try to open a portal back to your time. Think of the place and time you want to go back to. Get it wrong and you could end up farther back than anticipated, my dear,” Egor continued to warn me about all the negatives about the ring. But I opened a portal back to my time and said goodbye to him by giving him a hug. “Now keep this ring safe. Don't let it fall into the wrong hands,” Egor said as he whispered into my right ear as we hugged goodbye. When I walked back through the portal to my time, a man in a suit stood in the alleyway watching me. He looked down at my right hand which the ring was on and looked back at me. He then pulled out a gun and started shooting, but I put my hands up and a shield came out of the ring. “Immortality huh?” I said to myself as I began to run towards the man,” Julia said as she was interrupted by Amy.

Amy was confused. One thing that wasn't making sense was who the man was in the suit. She put her hands up as her head fell into them.

“So you mean to tell me that this man, John is it? Wants to kill each and every tinkerer known to man so he can have all your power and immortality?” Amy said as she tried to understand what Julia was trying to say.

Little did Amy and Julia know was that John was standing outside of the building waiting for them to exit the apartment. But they went on with their conversation.

“So why does John want to kill all the tinkerers?” Amy asked Julia as she stood up.

“I've told you too much already. This is top secret. All the information I just told you was only for ears that behold the ring. But I'll tell you about John. When Egor and John were growing up back in the 1800’s, they were really close. They would always go out and play in the backyard and hang out with friends. But when Egor turned eighteen he disappeared forever, leaving his brother John behind. Soon after John became super depressed and angry that Egor left him like that without saying goodbye. Once John turned eighteen, he set out to find his brother only to return home to London empty handed. Fast forward to now, he is evil and wants his brother dead. He never told any twisters why he wanted all of the tinkerers dead, but we tinkerers have someone on the inside who is leaking information to us so we can stay one step ahead of him. So far all we know is that he wants world domination. He wants the world to bow before him. He wants to become the most powerful man in the world, yet no one knows why. He keeps his secrets safe with him. All I know is when we do find him, we will kill him ourselves,” Julia said as they were still sitting at the table. Marcus and Ashley woke up and came into the kitchen. Ashley had walked over to the living room windows to open the curtains. When she did that, she opened the window and looked down at the streets. There was a man standing by the front door staring at Ashley.

“Umm mommy, there's a weird man standing at me from the sidewalk and he haS something in his hand. It looks as if he's going to throw it at us. ,” Ashley said nervously.

“Ashley get away from the window now.” Julia warned as she looked at Amy. “Looks like our guest arrived early,” Julia continued.

Then John threw the ball like object at the open window. It came through the window and fell on the floor. Ashley and Marcus ran back into their rooms fearing for their lives. The object on the floor was not a tiny baseball, but a grenade. A few seconds later it detonated and started a fire in Julia's apartment. John is back on the ground staring at the third floor building. Everyone else on the streets was running away, screaming and fearing for their lives.

“Hellos Julia. Long time, no see,” John said as he walked in the front door as the female elevator operator ran out the front door in fear, coughing badly.

“He's here, we must go now before it's too late. He’ll end up killing us all,” Julia said as she grabbed her coat and purse. She quickly put her ring on and waited by the front door.

“Knock, knock. It's me--John. I'm here for some breakfast,” John said as he kicked down the front door and barged in on everyone.

He walked in and saw all the smoke floating around in the apartment. He looked down the hallway as a door slammed shut.

“C’mon. Why do you have to make this more difficult than it has to be?” John said as he ran down the hallway and started pounding on the door.

Amy, Phillip, Marcus, and Ashley were all scared. There was a window in the room with a staircase for fire emergencies only on the outside. Julia opened the window and climbed out. Amy, Phillip, Marcus and Ashley all followed. They quickly ran down the staircase and dropped the ladder to go down to the alleyway. John smashed down the door. His fellow twisters eventually got into the apartment and followed him into the bedroom.

“I want them all dead. Find them!” John yelled angrily as the twisters jumped through the open window and jumped down into the alleyway.

“They will find you. And when they do, they will kill you for me. Not only you Julia, but your puny friends as well,” John said as he stood in the windowsill looking down at the alleyway.

(8.1.17)

“Well your hiding spot wasn't very well hidden, now was it?” John said as the Amy’s family and Julia were tied up to chairs and being interrogated. John then walked to Julia whose hands were tied up behind the chair. The ring was still on her hand. He walked behind her chair and yanked her hand.

“I'll take that. Thank you,” John said as he snatched the ring off of Julia’s right hand.

“Well now. This is a beauty. Did Egor give you this? I bet he did. Speaking of which, where is he? Is he scared to come to the rescue because he knows I'll kill him?” John stated as he tried to put on the ring.

Julia noticed that the Tinkerers inside man was in the room. He had a bow and arrow aiming right at John. He was high up above in the walkways above everyone. They were in an abandoned factory that used to make toys for kids.

“How do you put this on Julia? I've never had one. What does it do? How do you open a portal?” John continued asking as he kept trying to put on the ring.

“You're a Twister, not a Tinkerer. The ring won't allow you to put it on unless you're a Tinkerer,” Julia stated as she chuckled.

“Well then, I guess you'll have to be my servant and do as I say then huh?” John stated as Julia’s chuckling stopped and her smile disappeared.

John stood there and gazed at Julia. He had the ring in his hand. He walked back over behind Julia’s chair and put the ring back on her. Then he grabbed a knife and cut the rope that was keeping her tied to the chair.

“Now..we have some work to do. Come with me,” John stated as he began to walk away.

Julia hen looked at Jack, the Tinkerer who was holding the bow and arrow and yelled.

“SHOOT HIM NOW,” Julia yelled.
