Short poem
Weekly Call

You ask me to visit to see your garden
(Why did you hurt us so much?)

You tell me your tests came back clear
(Did you hate us from the start?)

You brag about your stock market gains
(Why did no one stop you?)

I see my words in speech bubbles
And yours as gospel
Hearing Charlie Brown's teacher
While your mouth moves

My fifteen seconds are up
Your boredom with me palpable

Chirping an "I love you"
I hang up
