What it feels like trying to hold onto your ideals.

Hold the Ground

I will rise in resistance.

Sing the oath of rebellion. I head straight, head to toe in vanity.

When the eyes of the abyss stare back at me, I am reminded not to let those scares define me. They are a weakness that keeps me from craving my path to victory.

Doubt is crying out but, I refuse to let it keep me from my victory. I am willing to fight till there is nothing left.

I will wage war!

Raise my shield to my opponents and hold my ground, but I am defenseless and I am helpless if they get beneath my feet.

I turn from the mirror my desperate plea, I refuse and can't believe those signs are from me.

Just one more breath, my ravaged voice will try and reach, but my words are never heard when it counts.

I try and survive by putting my faith in instinct, now I only regret what have I done.

I say rise and help, it's as they say war is merciless. As they come with more over the horizon, please know I never had a choice, I leave for my life.

Come on, one more breath let my ravaged voice will my final words never be heard when they fell at your count.

Now I regret everything I have done. I say crier, liar, I wage war! I remember why I fight. Why I cry out in pain.

So, these final words will reach them. So, I must not fall even with just shield, and weaponless.

So, please one more breath and cry out why I am here fighting.
