Poem of feeling like you are walking on eggshells.
EGGSHELLS

The person I am may make it easy to offend, make a rock a boulder or a shady spot end.
Every day I try a new angle hoping for grace, someday's its truly impossible based on the place.

Often, I close my eyes and pray for salvation, hoping for the will to recover from all the devastation.
When that bad day comes, I struggle right through; lips tight, rare conversations, nobody has a clue.

For just one day I’d like to really be me as you are you; but I’d hate to take a chance so I watch what I do.
Soon I will conquer this part of me that teeters, stride forward and smile and act like a leader.

This world is filled with so many different modes, I’m pressed for time and in my mistake’s, it shows.
Never in my wildest dreams could I have pictured this, where almost every day I want to call it quits.

Hope always seems to float my way so I grab it, I use it regularly to protect me from my fits.
Still my life recycles, my heart longs for normality, just one day filled with smiles instead of agony.

To achieve the above it requires diplomacy and inoffensiveness, swallow all doubts and toss away the wretchedness.
My life is not perfect and tests my will but it’s mine, I’m grateful for life and I’ll get along just fine.

As you need your space and want me to be mindful, remember it goes both ways, so says the Bible.
There is a psalm that promises "because I love him he will protect me", so when I join him it’s okay to be carefree.

These eggshells I walk on light footed shall disappear, the darkness will dissipate and my vision will finally be clear.
Do unto others as you’d have done to you, forget not this phrase, those who practice it daily are angels who've mastered their haze.

For to be who we are without fear of retaliation is fine, I’m worth it, I’m worthy today’s good day is MINE.
