Acts of Green

How many acts of green
will it take to restore Earth's forests?

Acre by acre we have deforested the land,
Cut down the trees without a reforestation plan,
Treated climate change as a mass hallucination,
Supported the goals of greedy corporations.

Overlooked or ignored the plight of endangered species;
Forgotten that we are a part of Earth's ecosystem.

Good stewards of the planet we have not been!
Right now is the time for humanity to take action;
Each individual can create an Act of Green;
Each step we take toward pollutions reduction
Now can have an affect the lives the next generation.

How many acts of green
will it take to restore Earth's ecological balance?
