Perspective of loneliness
One of the worst feelings one can feel is loneliness. That feeling of being lost without a direction while traveling on a long lonesome road. The longing for a companion to help navigate through the trials and tribulations that life throws at you. There becomes a void in the chest where the heart use to flourish, beating with the strength of a lion, yet now the heart is no more than a shriveled piece of what it use to be. It’s the feeling you get when you stare up into the beautiful blue sky filled with fluffy clouds that resembles faces and memories that have slowly withered away. It’s reminiscing about a past love, the passion, the fire and the happiness only to then realize that now you are only left with desire to resurrect what once was, yet knowing that is but a fantasy. A crazy dream that will not be. Loneliness is spending your days by yourself, and always alone without the affection of another human being. It’s the longing to be the reason someone smiles. Their reason for happiness. It’s when you spend your moments alone thinking of how you wish you had someone to lay next to, to talk about the random joys in day to day life. It’s going to sleep alone every night knowing that this could be how the rest of your life will be. Waking up in the morning after dreaming of having a beautiful soul resting in your arms. Knowing it’s all desire, and not reality, crushes the spirits and wounds the soul. Hoping one day, this feeling of despair and loneliness will just be a chapter long past in life. A topic to laugh about when you look back at the lonely days. Yet the fear always haunts the mind and threatens the heart. It may never be. The lonely road may be all you’ll ever see.
